Inspired by First Grade Teacher

I remember my first grade teacher. I remember her being the kindest, most nurturing person. She made you feel important, as if only you were THE most significant thing in her entire world. This is why I chose teaching. This is what I wanted to be for children, someone they could seek to learn more about themselves, someone who values them as the single most important thing in the world. That means something to children, they need to be heard, to have a voice and there's so many out there that simply don't have that. I hope that I have been able to be that for even one of my "kids". That they feel I valued them, because I genuinely do.
