The 'aha' moments

I am a Japanese teacher currently working as a Teaching, Learning and Behaviour Coach and have been teaching in secondary schools for 11 years now. I believe that teaching is the epitome of life-long learning as it is an ever changing field of work where it is essential to continually challenge ourselves in new professional development and training. I am proud to have colleagues and past teachers of my own that have inspired me and continue to inspire me everyday to be a better teacher. I am a teacher because I am passionate about inspiring young minds and ensuring my students have a positive school experience. My favourite part of the role is seeing the ‘aha’ moments and smiles when my students experience success in their learning journey, that is when it hits home for me how powerful teaching can be in shaping and making an impact on our future generations.
